During a visit to the Rasina District, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced a significant boost in infrastructure and development for the Brus municipality. Acknowledging the need for improved transportation, Vučić revealed plans to invest approximately €6 million in reconstructing the local roads. By the end of October, the project aims to pave 15 kilometres of roads, enhancing access for nearly every village within the municipality.
In addition to the roadwork, Vučić shared details about the upcoming Vignjište water-supply project, which is set to commence by year-end with an investment of €2 million. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to improving essential services in the region. Furthermore, discussions are underway with a potential investor to establish a new factory, which could generate around 200 jobs, strengthening the local economy.
Highlighting the government’s support for local businesses, Vučić visited an organic fruit-processing company and discussed opportunities for financial assistance. He noted that enterprises could benefit from government support for purchasing machinery, which includes non-refundable funding of approximately €42,000. Additionally, businesses can access Development Fund loans with favorable fixed interest rates ranging from 2 to 2.5 percent, making it easier for them to invest in growth and innovation.
In a related development, Vučić announced his plans to attend the inauguration of a new robot factory in Šabac on August 29. This event is expected to showcase Serbia’s advancements in technology and industrial capabilities, further positioning the country as a hub for technological development.
